After much anticipation, QC Family Tree would like to present you with your very own copy of The Muddy Turtle Talks, our very first eBook compilation of the stories from our live storytelling events!
Muddy Turtle Talks was created to document and share the stories of our community as individuals and families deal with the personal impact of gentrification and displacement. Our mission is to elevate the narrative of Enderly Park by sharing these stories through live performances, and now in an easily shareable eBook format! The PDF is available here at The Muddy Turtle Talks eBook
Feel free to download your copy and share this e-Book with your friends and family. We have changed the names and other identifying factors of the individuals to preserve anonymity. These stories cannot be redistributed without the permission of Hannah Hassan in conjunction with QC Family Tree.
If you enjoy the stories in these pages, then we invite you to join us for our next live performance featuring all new stories coming up this Saturday! Muddy Turtle Talks: Here For Good will highlight the stories of the people and groups in West Charlotte who are working to ensure that their neighbors aren’t displaced and their community is thriving. It highlights those who are “here for good.”
This will also be used as an opportunity to raise funds for QC Family Tree. There was a recent fire in one of the houses, which has displaced staff members. The funds raised during the event will go towards that effort.
The event will be held at 8:00 PM this Saturday, January 11 at Missiongathering Charlotte. This will be a night of live storytelling, dessert and drinks, live music, and connecting with the community.
There are still a few tickets remaining for the event! We are asking that you pay what you can for your seat, but a ticket will be required for entry. Reserve your ticket here!
